Vocational Education
Skills training programs in trades from carpentry to cosmetology — equipping students for higher-paying employment in the local economy and abroad.
A foundation driving community development in Tola, Nicaragua — through quality, affordable education, vocational training, and recreational opportunities for thousands of children and adults each year.
The Fundación Para la Promoción de la Educación Técnica y Vocacional El Limón — FunLimón — was formed in May 2007 to benefit the people of the Tola region of Nicaragua. The mission of the foundation is charitable and educational in scope.
We drive community development by offering quality, affordable educational and vocational training to youths and adults, along with athletic and recreational opportunities. Each year we undertake increasingly ambitious projects to benefit Tola's residents in a sustainable manner.

Fully funded annual scholarships supporting Tola students through university degrees in medicine, engineering, education, and the sciences.
Daily after-school English, computer literacy, and martial arts classes — offered in a safe, encouraging community space.
Soccer, baseball, taekwondo, and a community fitness center — building discipline, teamwork, and health for hundreds of young athletes.
The Mark and Kathryn Ford Family Foundation underwrites the operating costs of FunLimón so 100% of donor contributions go directly to programs, scholarships, and capital projects in the community.
